I've been in ballet for 6 years already, sometimes people make fun of me because of it, what do you think??

People who make fun of others for being in ballet are usually either morons or jealous. There's nothing wrong with ballet, and even if you never go into ballet professionally you gain balance, coordination, grace, and strength from the practice and dancing. I only took about half a year of ballet and I loved it, and I always admire those who've been doing it for a long time.

ballet is the best!! People just say stuff like that either because they are jealous or just bored. i did ballet since I was two years old but i had to give it up because I moved and there was no ballet classes available. ballet is so cool and it keeps you trim and fit - DON'T GIVE IT UP just because someone says something then you'll be regretting ti for the rest of your life.

When people make fun of you for taking ballet, tell them to come take a ballet class with you. Then ask them if they think it's dumb

people make fun of me 2 it hurts but ask them 2 do the easiest thing you know how 2 do in ballet i be they cant do it and if uv been doing it 4 6 years ur probably GREAT so dont quite cuz some stupis people i felt the same way as u xept i got soo imbarest i quite now its SOO hard 2 start up agian i wish i hadent had quit

ballet is more then cool. and I think that those who make fun of it don't really know how ballet really is

who cares what other people think? those people are just losers trying to bring you down. I have the same problem. but seriously, ballet is one of the coolest things in the world. Remember that.

i;ve been dancin for 7 years and only started doing ballet recently and i would already say its my favourite :P
I think ballets cool and who ever says that to you ignore them . And tell them to atch the dvd "step up " ... thats changed loads of peoples minds lol :D

i dance and ballet is my fave so i think it's cool but it's about what you think so just don't listen to them and ballet isn't just about dancing to classical music you can do ballet to anything so just be prod of it but don't show off if they bother you keep it low but tell them it's not them that has to do it so why do they care !!!

if you love it, go for it
they'll see what a jurk they've been once you've become a famous ballerina and make lots of money
do it if you love it
and it'll repay you in the end
