OK I know what your thinking. Why are you asking us a question about yourself? Am I right? OK here's the deal I just turned 21 on Jan 3rd. I know I can buy beer and all that but I don't drink or smoke so I could care less.

Well let me get to the point of this post. As I said I just turned 21. Well I didn't hit puberty till about 19 which sucked. I had the squeakiest voice. It surprised me when I heard it on a recoding. But now 2 years later it all croaky. I know in the process of the voice changing it does that. But why is it still ding it now?

That's not all either. With me it's when it rains it pores. I haven't even started shaving yet. Not cause I'm scared to the hair on my chin don't really grow and I don't have a full mustache. I know some guys wish they didn't have to shave but this is really creeping me out. Why? Cause there's more.

I have no chest hair minus a little under my navel. The hair under my arms don't grow like it's suppose to. My right underarm has more hair then the left. I have very little hair on my legs above my knees.

I know you probably don't want to hear all this but I just don't get my body. It's scary to hear my own voice and I don't want to buy Rogaine to put on my legs and arms. Does anyone know whats going on? I mean I know I started late but should it really still be happening? This makes my life suck.

Calm down. Everybody goes through a different stage of puberty at different times. For you its nothing to worry about. Just be patient, it may take some time. And if you're seriously that worried, talk it over with someone. I myself dont think its that much of a problem.

Take it easy. You're fine. Your voice will even out. You said you didn't hit puberty until 19. Unusual, but not uncommon. Some men never develop a very hairy body. Plenty of women could care less.
My son is 22. He has no facial hair and not much body hair at all that would be decent for me to see. It is genetic. My brothers also don't have much facial or body hair. It doesn't make any of them less a man. My dad, on the other hand, had a heavy beard and mustache. It is all a matter of genetics.
Be happy with who you are. You sound fine to me.

OK so maybe you just are not a hairy guy, and now a days with all these guys having to shave and wax their bodies to get rid of all that gross hair (due to the media and style which I think is ridiculous) you should count your blessing you will look like everyone else.

If you just hit puberty which I find hard to believe but give it time it all may come. Are the men in your family hairy, if not perhaps you wont be due to your genes.
Hair does not make you a man your character and personality make you a man.

You don't have to shave every day lucky you after 40 years of shaving every day I would be so happy to not have to. Do you know what a pain it is to take a razor to your face every day and its not good for your skin either.

Chill man your still a man! Believe in yourself!

Well, sounds like you need to see an Endocrinologist, or hormone specialist. Men usually don't get hair above their knees until mid twenties. Everyone is different, but it sounds like this is a serious issue for you, and I think you should seek serious answers. There are a lot of great doctors out there, and do a bit more investigating. Good luck, and relax about it. Limited hair growth can have a lot to do with your genetics, your own chemical make-up, and so on. If you should choose to take any medication to aid you, you should do all the reading first to see if there are any long-term effects.

Don't sweat it, I did my "maturing" after military boot camp
(about your age) I was 5' 3" and weighed 103 lbs soaking
wet. Took about a year to get to 5' 9" 150lbs and hair where
you'd expect to see it (course I'm considerably older now and
head hair is a thing of the past) -- physically, all good things
will come to pass -- mentally ? the jury is still out.

Nothing is wrong with you, but if you want hair that fast, get you a bottle of olive oil , slim it on and shave your legs, chest, underarms, mustache, face and in a week u will have more hair than you ever bargain.
boys used to do this in highschool in the 70's

The best way to determine what will happen is to look at your family history, your dad and your mums brothers. Usually these days though people reach puperty at an earlier age. Maybe you should check your diet and make sure you are eating proberly.

Give yourself a break. What is your ethnic background. This may have something to do with it. There are LOTS of people who don't have facial hair (Asian men, Latinos) There are LOTS of people who dont have or have too much of something. This is your body, enjoy it, don't be mean to it. It is the only one you have, with or without hair... it is OK to be who you are. Don't worry about it... someone will love you, but you must love yourself FIRST!!!!!

wow it sounds like since you hit puberty late, it takes like two years or more for a 13 yr old boy to get through it all so why no you, i wouldn't fret.
