i have considered this myself and come to the conclusion that he could be, because think back on what dumbledore said to harry at the beginning about voldemort putting part of him into harry, he could not have just meant the parseltongue thing he must have meant something else.
after reading your piece i have since come to even more of a conclusion that harry is infact a horcrux, who knows what happened in godrics hoolow after lily was killed, he could have started performing the spell and then killed lily to finish it off, instead of using james as the death of the horcrux spell he used lily, and then when harry didnt die, he spread is being across the world because of all the horcruxes voldemort couldnt die, so i have come to the decision that harry could be the horcrux that is being sort for. now dumbledore hasnt told harry of the possibility of this, because i agree with you he doesnt want harry to go to any drastic measures against getting rid of voldemort, but at the end of HBP harry says something along the lines of im going after him and i dont care if i die along the way. thats my answer against this argument i believe harry is a horcrux and if iam wrong then im wrong, but there you go.

You asked for it...
There is absolutely no possibility. Dumbledore told Harry that making a living creature a Horcrux is dangerous, but it is possible Voldemort did it with a snake. However, Voldemort has an incredible amount of control over the snake, which he doesn't have over Harry. Furthermore, you must remember that Horcruxs are parts of your soul...Voldemort wants Harry dead. Why would he want his Horcrux dead?
Also, the prophecy that Voldemort heard says that he has to kill Harry, that's why he tried. Why on earth would he put his precious soul into someone he hates and wants to kill? And remember, to create a Horcrux, you have to had to just kill someone. True, Voldemort murdered James and Lily, but why would he then put his soul in Harry, just to seconds later attempt to finish him off?
Now, it is possible that Voldemort planned on making a Horcrux with Harry's death, because he tended to make a Horcrux with special or meaningful deaths, of which Harry's would qualify. But he wouldn't make the Horcrux in Harry, and then detroy it. That's completely out of the question.

That was a pretty nice argument.
Tom riddle could of made a horcrux out of his Special Services to the School trophy.
I don't think harry is a horcrux.
And JK said that harry would Not die.
I think harry will go on to become an auror like he said he wanted in HBP or Order i don't remember which.

I have thought of that, but I think that he might be some sort of reverse horcrux or anti-horcrux. The act of creating a horcrux required intentionality on the part of Voldemort, however, Harry Potter, because of his mother's sacrifice and the love that contained, was a complete suprise for Voldemort. harry lived because his mother's love for him was true and pure, and somehow the idea of him being a Horcrux seems to violate for me that somehow.
Furthermore, on the part of the story, Dumbledore has made it clear that all of the Horcruxes need to be gathered and destroyed (like Harry using the fang of the Basilisk to destroy the journal). To have Harry destroyed to destroy Voldemort would violate the prophecy which says that only one of them will live.
But then again, Harry did receive from it some of his powers, like parceltongue and they do seem to share some sort of link...It will be interesting to see where this one goes. Will he have to destroy Voldemort within himself before he could destroy Voldemort in the exterior world?

well I have spent a great deal of time thinking about this one, and I have decided that he cannot be a horcrux - if he was a horcrux, then why does Voldemort keep trying to kill him??? Although, it would make a very interesting storeyline!

Quite a bit of fanfic has been written using that premise. If so, it means Harry has to die.
