display card XFX GF 8800gts 320mb

HDD: seagate 320gb

powersupply: cooler master iGreen 500watt



the games i will play are Guild wars, oblivion, age of empires3 and need for speed carbon... i wil use a 17" lcd screen
will the game still lags if I set the video settings to the highest?

Just make sure you configure you BIOS correctly, this will improve performance you will need to run your games.

Judging by your parts, your system will do just fine, those games don't require too much, the 8800GTS will run very good, just make sure you install your parts correctly, if you can dual channel your RAM, go ahead and do so.

Yes, but if you have the $$, get the FX series CPU. Their multipliers are NOT locked so overclocking is way easy, and you don't have to mess with memory timing Or HT Mhz.
