After 2 1/2 months, you would be testing positive.

A blood test will show if you are pregnant or not 7 days after conception. But remember sperm can live inside you for up to seven days so really you could have sex today but not get pregnant until like 5 days from now and then that could be why a blood test wouldn't pick up on it.
However since your period is that late then it would be showing up if you are pregnant.
Delay/Difference in Menstruation:
A delayed or missed menstruation is the most common pregnancy symptom leading a woman to test for pregnancy. When you become pregnant, your next period should be missed. Many women can bleed while they are pregnant, but typically the bleeding will be shorter or lighter than a normal period. This symptom is commonly explained by other reasons. If you have been sexually active and have missed a period, it is recommended that you take a test: Find a Free Testing Center or Order my pregnancy test
Other Explanations: Excessive weight gain/loss, fatigue, hormonal problems, tension, stress, ceasing to take the birth control pill, or breast-feeding

I would say no, because the blood test is going to be the most accurate. I would wait to see if you still miss your next period. If you have missed a couple periods, a preg test would pick that up. Have you been stressed recently? Stress can make someone miss periods.

More than likely not. Your body would have been making the hcg hormone and it would have been picked up by that test. Now that your doc knows you are not pregnant and haven't had a period maybe he/she will look into something else or tell you if this is normal for you. Can happen w/ stress, weight loss, other hormonal imbalances. Good luck.

No. A blood test is very accurate and after 2 months it would have come back as a possitive result. There are many reasons why you could be missing your period such as stress.

Serum pregnancy test is more accurate than the urine. Are you underweight? A lot of girls who are skinny cannot get their period.

If I were you I would be looking into other reasons for a missed period, or ask about provera to start my period.
