This is presuming you have an external cable modem and a broadband router.

Make sure you have your cable modem connected to the lan or internet port on the back of the router by ehternet and then another ethernet cable back to your pc using one of the other spare ports. Once connections are checked then hold in the reset button on the router for 30 seconds (it will be a small black button on the back of the router). The turn comp, router and modem off. Then in this order put your modem on and let the lights go to active internet, then turn router back on and wait for activity light, then turn comp on. This should sort the problem.

You also need to check that you are using the right type of router for your connection.

If you have an external broadband cable modem with ethernet port you should have a broadband router (the router will clearly say it on it if it is).

If you have a cable modem with usb connection then you need a router with built in modem.

Be sure the modem cable is in the right jack (WAN or LAN)
Also, some modem have a safe switch that disconnects the signal, be sure that isn't engaged.
Do lights come on, on both modem and router?
And does anything else connected to the router work? (It may be a defective router).

I hope that you connected your broadband connection to the back of the router.

Those antenna will not receive broadband Internet, you've gotta be hard wired to DSL or cable.

After that, you can share the connection wirelessly
