People grow and change over time-that's why not every long term relationship is well suited to marriage. When people get married, they need to commit to not only the way they are now, but to learning to grow together as a couple, and learning to live with the way that their spouse grows and changes in the future.

You don't know a person until you live with them, even then, some people remain secretive. A lot of couples refuse to change or adapt to others way of life. A man that parties prior to marriage or a woman that spends all her free time with her friends and family and refuses to change this way of life just because they are now married are doomed to a failed marriage. A person with poor household skills, like cooking, cleaning and picking up after themselves will also have a low rating on staying married, they need a mother or a maid, not a spouse. The main factors of making a marriage work and keeping the love alive is truth, honesty and communication. Money helps too.

It's quite a common scene. They are to used to each othere that there's nothing more lovely things to see other than each others' mistakes. If they can't see the other half as how they saw him/her for the first time that they fall in love, then it's kinda hard to live for the rest of the days...

Because they saw each other thru rose colored glasses of fantasy before they married.Most people do not KNOW each other before they marry this day and time.They see soemone theyre attracted to and replace the reality of that person with a fantasy image they marry, reality slaps them both in the face and what you described is the result.
