I prefer the desktop but I do have both.

When I have a lot of work to do, especially graphics design, I prefer the desktop - the laptop feels too cramped and slow for designing.

But for quick e-mail check-ups or editing the monthly newsletter the laptop will do.

A laptop is nice because you can carry it around the house, like if you want to watch tv in another room or if you want to show someone something. A desktop, though, usually has more space to store things on it.

I have recently bought myself a laptop. I love it. It is much more convenient, I can recline in my armchair, or sit in the garden, it is great, and when I have finished I just fold it up and put it away!

i dont know, i guess its what your used to using. i myself am more comfortable using my laptop because i have used it for a long time and i can go anywhere with it.
