Put myself out there, because life is pointless if you live life of loneliness.

Go out! Go for it! Don't live lonely - there are too many wonderful things out there. And who knows, maybe some of those crazy and weird people out there will be some of the best people you ever met. Life won't come to meet you - you have to go out and go after it.

The answer "putting yourself out there" is obviously the one that appeals to everyone and I bet you that's the most answers you'll get b/c humans are social creatures and with little exception, need others to some degree.
Still, it's easier said than done and I know I personally struggle with getting myself "out there" since I'm shy and have a small handful of friends to begin with (don't go out much)
I guess eventually you're bound to meet someone worthwhile (esp. if you hang out at places with things that interest you, you're bound to meet people with similar interests)

Crazy weird people can be fun and bring some excitement into ones life! of course they also can be hard to get rid of. I found one 29 years ago, just checked he's still here.

The crazy/weird people in my experience usually tend to be better company than the manicons. ...however my opinion is biased, as I am both crazy and weird.
solitude is nice too though

I have met a near fatal attraction, so I think I would choose a life of loneliness. No more nutters for me. =)
