I owed the IRS around $6500.00 last year from 3 three years back taxes and they are surprisingly ready to deal with me on a fair level. It got to the point where they were gonna start levying my bank accounts but I told them I would have the money by such and such a date and they were patient enough to wait a few months. If I wouldn't have held up my end of the offer, though, they would've held my bank accounts.
