Hailee,
Work.
I work when other people are playing.
I work to indentify what other people will buy that I can sell at a profitable price.
I work to improve the lives of my customers and they pay me.
I watch how I spend money carefully.
I know that they only things I have will be what I and my capital work to obtain.
Neither the government, the lottery, my uncle, my neighbor nor anyone else is going to GIVE me anything. I don;t expect them to and I spend no time crying when they don't.
Good Luck,
Dana B.

I worked 14 hours a day 7 days a week for the last 10 years. I invested every penny I had in buying equipment for my own business. last year I started my own company and now I make 50k a year and I am still working hard so that I can make 100k next year. But it did not come with out sacrifice I never got a chance to do much because I needed to sleep so it is not much of a life but I know it will all payoff. Just set your goal and focus on that one goal no matter what you have to sacrifice. It will be worth it for the future. I do get to do what I want now but I still stay the course.

There was an excellent answer that was provided by someone below. Quite simply, outside of those who are born into money, we are willing to do things that most people aren't. For example, when I started my business, I realized that money I wanted to earn would not happen in the beginning stages. After I planted the seeds, I put the time in to cultivate them until they were ready for harvest. Most people want instant gratification, and you will not generate riches with short-term thinking. What are you willing to do? Are you willign to unlearn what you have learned from your formal mis-education? Are you willing to do today what others won't so you can live tomorrow like others can't?
Find someone who has the level of success that you desire and RIDE THEIR COAT TAILS! We all need a coach/mentor! My mentor was at a level that I wanted to achieve and he was willing to show me how to get there.
Also, STOP listening to people who are not achieving the level of success you desire. If you cannot change your friends, change your friends! You become who you hang around most.
If you want to become rich, I can help you, but you have to contact me personally. Of course, what I do may not be of interest to you, but I can provide you with some guidance. Again, WHAT ARE YOU WILLING TO DO? Wealth is a mindset. Until you are willing to change the way you think, you may never achieve it.
Best wishes...

Well Rich People don't get there overnight.
There are things that they do that make them earn the big bucks:
Here are some traits that Rich People has:
1. They work more than 10 hours per day.
2. They do not work for money but money work for them.
3. They work what they love and they love what they work.
4. They are people who fail but never give up.
5. They are people who never stop learning and improving themselves.
6.They are people who are thrifty and really manage their finances well.
for Me I see people who wanted to earn more than what I earned but they never make it because they are not willing to put the effort that I put in.
Read the book "Millionaire Next Door"
Hope this answer your questions.

what is the threshold for "so much" money?
some of it depends on your skills. you will tend to do better if you have an education in a practical field (nursing, pharmacy, engineering). 4-years in college for nursing can pay in the $50k range in metropolitan areas, 7 years in pharmacy school can bring $75+k/year to start, 4 year in engineering (chemical engineering = about $57k, electrical engineering = about $55k)...even being a plumber or electrician (especially if you run your own business or do odd jobs on the side) can pay incredibly well.
to get 'rich', make money and live cheaply (invest every dime you can spare). to increase income, find a need that's not being filled (or where the need could be filled for much less) and open a business that fills it.

Read "Rich Dad, Poor Dad." He explains about how to make money work for you, and how to find opportunities. Rather than keep asking the same question, go to the bookstore or library and start looking for books on the subject.
