the cowboys were definitely overrated last year, their defense was atrocious going into the playoffs yet there were still people who thought they could make the super bowl
this year's most overrated team will be the steelers, people will pick them and say that big ben will be back and whatever, but the fact of the matter is that big ben is a mediocre nfl qb who will need a lot of help from his defense and running game anywhere he goes to make it anywhere

In my view, the most overrated playoff team in 2006 was San Diego. Experience matters when it comes to advancing far in the postseason, but that's the one thing the Chargers were seriously lacking.
I was most sick of hearing about Chicago throughout the playoffs. If it wasn't a story on how good their D is, it was a story on how bad (or inconsistent) Grossman is. If it wasn't a story about Grossman, it was about Devin Hester being the ultimate X-Factor (which is true, but it got irritating after hearing the other Bears stories).
Right now, based on current rosters, I think the Indianapolis Colts are going to be 2007's most overrated team. The draft and free agency can, and most likely will, change my opinion, but the Colts can't be underrated, so they must be overrated.
If by "overrated" you mean a team with delusions of making the playoffs, I think the Atlanta Falcons are overrated in that sense. If anyone thinks Joe Horn is going to make a difference, they need to get their reality checked because Horn can't catch what's thrown about 10-20 yards away from him (especially when he's the intended target).

This one is a toss up between a few teams. All of the AFC teams except prehaps the Chiefs deserved to be in the playoffs but I wouldnt call the Chiefs overated because no one gave them a shot in hell to win any games.
The most overated team had to be out of the Cowboys, Eagles, or Gaints. None of them are that good.
Cowboys and Eagles were riding the backs of some very suspect defenses and of two of the luckiest QB's I have ever seen in my life, Romo and Garcia, and their luck ran out in the playoffs.
The Gaints have very talented players but they underachieved big time and had it not been for their play at the begining of the season, they would have missed the playoffs all together.

I am a Chiefs fan. We had no business being in the playoffs last year, though. We were the worst team in there for the AFC. The entire NFC is over-rated, but escpecially the Seahawks.
I think the Steelers will be over-rated this year.

Overrated? Ravens
Tired of hearing about? Giants
Trust me, as the Giants stumbled, no one expected them to even make the playoffs. I don't know how you can call that overrated. But they got national attention because of the Tiki Barber retirement tour and as a Giants fan, I got sick of it as well.
I choose the Ravens because they should've beat the Colts, the so-called experts picked the Colts, they had the superior defense and better running game...and they got beat by the Colts.

definitely the chargers, so what they have lt, what did he do for them this year? not a thing. you cant win championships with a single player, i don't think they were even worthy of being in the playoffs. and who said he was one of the greatest running backs ever? lets not forget faulk in the 90s you've got edgrin james who's not the best but hes better than lt and then rookie running back Joseph Adi did outstanding this year, i just dont think the chargers had much of a chance, they didnt even play any hard teams really!

The Chargers...Schottenheimer got himself fired by proclaiming Tomlinson was the best RB ever to wear an NFL uniform...Try winning a playoff game with him first, Marty...Don't let your mouth write checks your *** can't cash...
