Yes, its the same Angel that was in Buffy... Angel season 1 takes place at the same time as Buffy season 4 and so on (Angel 2 = Buffy 5, Angel 3 = Buffy 6, Angel 4 = Buffy 7, Angel 5)... Buffy makes a few appearances, as does Oz and Willow...

Yes. Angel is a spinoff of Buffy. He moves to L.A. and starts and agency with Cordelia that helps people and demons. Buffy makes a few appearances, when the story lines between Buffy and Angel cross.

Buffy was set in the ficitional town of Sunnydale in California. For the first 3 seasons of Buffy, Angel was a regular on the show. After the 3rd season, he moved to Los Angeles to get away from Buffy & temptation (if they have sex, he becomes the evil Angelus again).

Cordelia joined him there (she was making a futile attempt to become an actress), and they started a detective agency that handled supernatural problems. Buffy & Angel ran in parallel for 4 seasons, and the characters from one show sometimes appeared on the other. Buffy ended after its seventh season, which was season 4 for Angel, and Spike (who'd been a regular on Buffy since season 2) joined Angel for its fifth, and final season.

One side note is that Joss Whedon, who produced both shows, along with Firefly, gave a few of the actors from Firefly, notably Gina Torres (Zoe) & Nathan Fillion (Malcolm), extended guest parts on Angel & Buffy after Firefly was canceled. Summer Glau (River) had appeared on an earlier Angel episode as a ballet dancer.

Yes, it's the same Angel. David Boreanaz(sp) got a spin off from Buffy. Buffy shows up occasionally on his show as he does on hers. I like Angel just as much as Buffy. There are really interesting characters on this show. I wish they were both still on, not just in syndication.

Yes and it aired for 5 seasons, all of which are out on dvd.
I know Willow made an appearance in an episode but I don't remember if Buffy did. The first season was ok, it took a little while to come into it's own.The final season was the best because Spike was in a lot of it.
