Yes, and I try to remember to say so in my comments if I feel that way. Wonder how the Staff would respond to such a suggestion?

Probably negatively, because it would impact their "points" scheme. If all good answers got the same points, a small group could get together & pump up the scores for each other like crazy. If the points were split between answers, people would complain about being short-changed.

Of course, if we got rid of the point scheme entirely, then it wouldn't matter, would it?

Makes me wonder - if points could be cashed in for money, would this place still be any fun at all?

yes, there always either happens to be two really good answers or all really crap ones. but then people would start bitching they only got 2 1/2 points instead of 5

The system would be great with as much as three really good answers. 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
