I'd easily say that most soldiers would give up thier lives for a baby's life. What are you saying a fetus isn't a baby, its alive, it is human, and it's not an adult. Also a baby has not had the chance to live, therefore no chance to make decisions.

I never said all liberals, I said liberals in general, also I'm not old enough to join the army.

Let's say you are married (maybe you are, maybe you are not - just hypothetical).
Now, let's say your wife gets raped on the way to work.
Furthermore, she becomes pregnant by this horrific attack.
What if you didn't want to raise this baby with your wife, but some politician told you that you don't have a choice?
How would you feel?

Let's say a woman has an abortion. She aborts within the first four weeks of conception. That is a fetus, not a baby.
To me, a baby is a human being that looks like a human being and can survive outside of the womb with the most extensive medical technology around.
No matter how hard you try, you will not get an embryo or a four-week fetus to survive.
So, there's a difference between babies and fetuses, particular early-term fetuses.
Soldiers aren't babies. They have families, children. They are able to comprehend concepts. Fetuses cannot.
EDIT: I'm not saying you have to agree with the definitions of the words "baby" and "fetus." I'm simply telling what they are and my stance on them. To each their own my friend. If you are out to change my mind, you won't succeed. I've done a lot of soul searching on this topic, and this is what I've come up with.
And I don't doubt that a soldier would give up his life for a baby. But ask any solider, would you give up your life for a four-week old fetus versus a baby, and the answers will vary far more.

I don't think all liberals think war is bad. Some liberals may look at it as a natural culling of the herd. Some wars are necessary consequences of the fight over limited resources. Some wars are upseting to liberals when they are unnecessary and put money in the hands of very few rich people who capitilize on the monies being made by big companies at their (the liberals and non-liberals) expense through tax dollars and lives of people who have to fight the wars.
Also, I would bet there are a lot of liberals who DO have problems with abortion, and I am sure most liberals aren't happy about it but just want to have the right to choose left in the hands of the people.

I don't believe they are killing babies because the brain of a newborn or fetus is so undeveloped it would not even know it has perished whereas with grownup children and adults too committ murder and killings is more painful and graphicl and gruesome manner. I generally don't like to see abortions occur but some people are too poor to afford a child and the child was accidentally born, sometimes it is better that the child is not born than too enter a life of povery and sickness or unwantedness and adoption. Sad but true.

I suppose one could ask, how many conservatives will ask this question on this board, thinking that they are the first to have thought of it.
First of all. Problematic assumption number 1... You assume that we don't have a problem "killing babies"
I can confidently say that 99 percent of liberals are not okay with the murder of babies. We must remember however, that a fetus is not a baby until it is born.
Furthermore, many of us are not in favor of the idea of abortion as birth control. Some of us, like me, believe that the option should be left open in cases of health of the mother, rape, and incest.
And why is it that neo-cons care so much about innocent life in utero in the US, but don't seem to care so much about the thousands of children dying in Iraq from our bombs?
Why is that neo-cons don't seem to get worked up over the millions of children who die every year from diahhrrea, who could easily be saved by water, sugar, and salt as well as proper nutrition?
Each year in the US, 1.3 million fetuses are terminated by abortion.
Each year worldwide, TEN million children at or below the age of 5 die from easily preventable illnesses.
Which seems to be the more urgent problem to you?

Actually, you are mis-informed. There was not one liberal that I knew that opposed the hunting down and killing of Osamma Bin Laden and none that I know of were against the invasion of Afghanistan and any where else that Al Qaeda was. We were, however, against the invasion of Iraq, because these was no connection with the terrorist attacks on the USA. Now, for the second part of your question; there are many liberals like me (unlike your conservative republicans like Rudy J.) that are against abortion. Look at the links I have added below. But, then again, it is obvious that you do not really read that much, but leave your info gathering to Fox News.

Why do conservatives say they don't want Big Government meddling in peoples lives but then try to prevent women from controlling their own bodies with anti-choice laws and judges?
Why do conservatives finance (pay for) MILLIONS of abortions, tens, maybe hundreds of MILLIONS of abortions in China by paying the Communist Chinese government billions of dollars in interest on the money that Bush borrowed in order to finance tax cuts for billionaires?
And, behold: I am a Liberal and have nothing against necessary wars, like World War Two for example. Its regretable, but sometimes you do have to have wars.
Behold, the case of the woman who was a staunch ProlLife, anti choice Republican in the midwest and then got a pregnancy that was going to kill her and...guess what? She got an abortion!!! Thru her own unfortunate personal experience she came to understand that people do not have abortions for frivolous reasons. Certainly not as frivilous as the reasons your President Bush started his Iraq War!

Didn't you ask this question last week? Labels don't define people and labels don't define everyone. How do you know that liberals are against war but not abortion? How many true liberals do you know? How many conservatives do you know? How many people do you know?
Just so you get this -- I'm opposed to war. I'm opposed to abortion. I'm opposed to the death penalty. However, I'm also opposed to legislating abortion. How would you label me?

Lat time, I checked, I hadn't killed any babies. Why do you assume that because I am a liberal, I support abortion. Here's a clue. You don't have to believe in everything your party stands for. Why do conservatives pretend to know what liberals believe in?
