Probably Buffalo. I say that not just because they were on a tear at the beginning of the season, but they have good chemistry on their lines. Also the new NHL is alot faster paced than the old NHL. Buffalo is young, and fast. So they are the best this year, and they will cbe for the next few years. And I am a St. Louis Blues fan just incase everybody thought I was a Buffalo fan.

If every team in the NHL were completely healthy, Ducks would be the best. But they and the Sabres (who I think is next best) just can't seem to get a break from injuries. Although I'm not a real Pronger fan, that poor guy just can't buy a good foot this year. And, their manager, Burke, is an idiot. He traded a really good tough rookie D man, O'Brien, and thot he was going to get a good trade with just two high draft choices. Hell, nobody wanted to even talk to Burke about anybody except Getzlaf, Penner and Perry. Geez what an idiot. Anyway, I hope Shane does well with the Lightning.

As far as things go now, I'd have to say the best team, considering the injuries to the Ducks and Sabres, would have to be the Preds. I love Kariya and Timmonen, but I don't really want Foppa winning another cup. And if BUTTUZZI wins a cup with the RedWings, well there just is no justice in the world.

I dont see how people can go strickly by point totals to pick their number one team (Nashville) The Preds have a great team but I think the best is Buffalo. They have had a rough last month losing 7 of their regula starters and some great guys step up from Rochester and they did'nt lose a beat. They hit a little skid lately losing their last 3 but, hit some really hot teams. (Avs, Wild, and Devils) The Sabres will have every back in a month then they will show the league who is really number 1.

San Jose Sharks.

They have a solid team with one of the best powerplays and one of the best 1-2 punch players in Marleau and Thornton. They have 2 starting goaltenders in Nabby and Vesa. They have depth, youth and size. They upgraded their defense by adding experience and leadership with Craig Rivet. They also added another awesome winger in Bill Guerin to add to their arsenal of attacks! They are on a small winning streak right now, and will put it all together and make a run for the division lead real soon.

I'm biased too because I'm from Pittsburgh, but I'll go with the Penguins. Boy have they made a huge turnaround from last season!! Seriously, look at these guys...
Crosby
Malkin
Recchi
Fleury
Staal
Whitney
Gonchar
Ruutu
Roberts
Good stuff this season...and I'm loving every minute of it...

LET'S GO PENS!!!

West: Nashville Predators , East: New Jersey Devils
and everyone should forget Pittsburgh because without defense and good goalie you can't win the cup!!! They might be the most fun team to watch, but def. not best.
