Red lipstick is fabulous if applied correctly, with a shade that compliments the wearers skin tone and general coloring. It's something for the more naturally sophisticated woman. It's not difficult to see female celebrities who are currently experimenting with the retro look; I personally think some celebrities have overdone it in the past, and were left looking clown-like. Definitely not for everyone, as it's prone to smudging and bleeding, even more so due to the color. The very best brand and quality of lip make-up for anyone who is wanting to experiment with the color.

It looks classy, because its just a classic Marilyn Monroe color, and it can suit ALMOST everyone. However, it can NOT be a siren red, a neon red, or a firetruck red. It must have some modern style element in it, i.e. gold specks making the color soft and appealing, or a high glossy finishing factor (HGFF) which makes you oh-so-dazzling.
You must also know where and how to wear it. for example, you cannot wear red lipstick with a brown outfit, much less a blue one. Also, you gotta know how much to put on. To make it enough, apply the lipstick and then press lips against an oil-absorbing tissue. THEY'RE MIRACLE WORKERS! For where to wear it, wear it to events, galas, weddings, but not the MALL, PARK, or to HOUSE-WARMING parties. they just end up a disaster---trust me. For brands, I totally suggest Clinique, Dior, or Revlon's Just Bitten or Revlon's Lipgloss. It makes you look simply irrestible. ;)

I saw a report by Andy Rooney once that he talked about women over 30 and how they were better than their younger counterparts. In his explaination he said that older women look better in red lipstick than younger women.
I have to agree when I was young and wore red and bright pink lipstick I looked trashy. (looking back in photos) However now red lipstick and nail polish is different. I carry myself better now and classier, so I can pull off the look without appearing too trashy.

It depends on who's wearing it, and the exact shade of liptstick. Some people looks gorgeous and classy wearing it, and some look terrible and trashy. It all depends on the person.

Ok, well, I love red lipstick, it's super-classy, but it's definitely an evening look, better paired with dark colored clothing and a nice smoky eye.

it really depends on your fatures. ono girls with kinda of a spanish look, dark eyes and dark hair and olive skin it looks great. it also really depends on your outfit if its something clean anclassi like a simple dress with pearls the lipstick will look good but if its a trashy club outfit then yes, the lipstick will look trashy. its a very bold color and if your brave enough to sport it, more power to ya! good luck and i hope i helped=]
