You have to send a demo right? Is there like a requirment for the demos? I know absoultely nothing about this. Can you send videos (not music videos, just recording of me singing)?
Can someone explain some of this to me?

First, you will need an agent, and you will have to make a video of you singing, they need some information about you.
Your agent will sne them your video, and they will decide wether to make it a CD or not, that's what Miley Cyrus did.

Most major labels will not accept unsolicited demos. They will return to sender. But smaller independant labels still do accept them. Rule of thumb on a demo, limit it to your best 3 songs, very best first... many times if they dont like what they hear within the first 30 seconds, they will pitch it. Along with demo cd include a bio and pic. Good luck!
