First off I'm sorry for your pain. Second, it's very important you bring this matter directly to your supervisor/manager and informing them that you are also meeting with HR to verbalize the mental abuse you are being subjected to at work.
No matter what type of conservation your manager/supervisor has with your co-workers everything is all confidential. Now, if the mental abuse does not stop then you have an option to file a formal complaint stating you are working in a Hostile Environment and then your company would be liable for slander/pain and suffering.
On the other hand - if it's innocent play, confront your workers and tell them that it hurts your feelings and if they would please stop.
Always remember, not everyone is going to like you and visa versa. That’s a tough one to conquer.
Please note there is a huge difference between true friends and acquaintances.
I hope things look up for you!

3 choices:
1) Ignore them and allow them to continue making themselves look bad to others (people really don't like to hear about other people being insulted for things that they can't change)
2) Let them know that you are aware of what they are doing, how it makes you feel, and that you wish it to stop
3) Make fun of yourself....and try to do a better job of it than they do (it will show that you have a sense of humor and know where your weaknesses are)
No matter what, whether you choose to remain friends with them or not is your choice. People like that I call "poker friends"...they are someone you can do things with if you don't have anything better to do, but not someone who you confide in or become best friends with.
*After reading the other postings that say "go to HR", remember if you do that they will probably be very mad at you and tell other people (who may avoid talking to you because they will be afraid that the slightest misstep and the same thing will happen to them). your boss may also get upset, because you will make him work harder. (i've seen all of the above happen to someone who had a very real/serious complaint).

There are 2 ways -
First ) - Always report this misconduct to the supervisor in writing - it should be documented and they should deal with it but especially if you should decide to Dish it Back ( way 2 ),
You should have it in writing, that someone else began the process.
Second ) The tough minded people > Dish it Back !
In some places , it is called playing the dirty dozens.
Whenever someone makes fun , you do it back but with more zing.
This does require that you have very thick skin tho , because of the escalation. Only use the first way if you are sensitive.

You could make a complaint to your supervisor/boss.
People are jerks, that's just a part of life.
Just try not to take things personally or stand up to these people.
No one deserves to be targeted at their place of work.
It depends where you work but maybe you could be transfered to a different part of the job where you don't have to deal with others?

Try to find friends outside your working circle and start treating those who work with you as co-workers only, they are not your friends. Be polite, but distance yourself a bit more.

find a job which lets you earn a living without having to dwell among all the fake, two-faced jerks.
Maybe you can work from home, or deliver things, or some other job that lets you work by yourself.

Ignore them. Don't let others control you or bring you down, and show them that you don't care about what they think. If you have a chance to confront them, tell them that God created you this way and it's shame on them sneer at you.

Ak 47 should earn you more respect....lol jk....
best thing to do is not acknowledge their existance. If they see it bothers you, they will continue to do it.
Good luck.....at my job, you would be welcome with no name calling. We don't put up with that immature shi*!
