Walk barefoot until you're outside, becuase the soft skin on your feet absorbs sound better than the hard rubber of shoes. Pay attention to potential loose floorboards that could squeak when you place your weight on them--try to walk along the edges of walls to minimize this effect. When you take a step, keep your weight on your back leg and wait until your front leg is firmly planted, then gradually shift your weight forward. That way you'll be able to hear the floor if it begins to squeak, and be able to shift your weight back before the squeak gets any louder.
When walking, use a toe-heel method instead of a heel-toe. Planting the ball of your foot first and then shifting the weight ot your heel helps cushion the impact of your body against the floor, further reducing sound.
Wear clothing that hugs your body tightly without being constrictive. You need it to be loose enough that you can move and balance easily, but tight enough that it won't rub against itself and generate sound. Also, make sure you don't carry any loose change or materials that can jingle and make a sound.
Ultimately, practice is the best way to successfully move without a sound. Carry a voice recorder with you and practice doing daily activities without making a sound. Listen to the recording--if you hear any noise at all, you lose. Try again. Pretty soon, you'll be able to move like a ghost's shadow.
Edit: Note that this assumes no one is actually looking for you. If you're in a lit building and there are people around, the rules change drastically. These suggestions will help you to move in complete silence, but will do nothing to help you stay hidden from sight.

Now, if I didn't know better, I'd say that "Sneak" sounds like a character's name from some sort of video game. =/ It sounds like somebody wants him or her out.
Of course I could be wrong. :P
