The Energy Policy Act of 2005 was passed by Congress and then signed into law by President George W. Bush (he's confused) on August 8, 2005. Under the new law, beginning in 2007, most of the United States begins Daylight Saving Time at 2:00 a.m. on the second Sunday in March and reverts to standard time on the first Sunday in November. In the U.S., each time zone switches at a different time.Daylight Saving Time "makes" the sun "set" one hour later and therefore reduces the period between sunset and bedtime by one hour. This means that less electricity would be used for lighting and appliances late in the day.
I'm not sure if I think its wrong, but it does give a different meaning to the vernal equinox and autumnal equinox.
Adding in S on saving meaning it is now thought to be "Daylight SavingS Time"

We here, in the State of Arizona, simply accept the fact that the Sun rises and sets at different times during the year. We don't do any of those silly-αssed daylight savings time games ☺

I do know that daylight savings does help to maintain and conserve our energy resources. The day starts earlier in the spring/summer, hence going back an hour on the clock, whereas the day starts later in the fall/winter, which we go forward an hour on the clock.

The point is to take advantage of the daylight. In the summer the sun stays out longer in the winter it goes down earlier ect.

DST is an energy conservation measure wherein the clock is turned back during winters and the day starts early. The additional hour of morning light saves energy used in electrical lighting at nights.

It to save energy, they changed the date back because in today's world we have been wasting energy, meaning, we will be going to sleep earlier so that we don't use up so much of the light switch, thats what I think.
