There are so many puppies in the animal shelter waiting to be adopted. If I wanted another dog I would rescue one of those. I just can't feel good about getting a pure bred dog because of what happens in the puppy mill industry. I would go to the shelter and choose the puppy who seemed to be the most keen on going home with me. So please Clonie, don't buy a puppy, you will be supporting this horrible industry. I asked if I should get my daughter a miniature schnauzer in the dog category, When I was using Jennifer F's EXTRA account, yahoo deleted that account, but Schnauzerface could have read that question before it was deleted, so he/she would know I was considering this dog as a gift. I checked out something an answer suggested about puppy mills, and decided against it. I have a house, school , my job, 2 kids, a husband and 2 pets to take care of, the last thing I need is another pet to make messes I will have to clean up. If Baby Jen and Schnauzerface are who they claim to be, lets see them prove that they are not Dan and his girlfriend.

Yes! mini schnauzer loves children and they are usually obedient. These lovely pups are energectic and can be very entertaining to your daughter. It would create a affectionate and healthy bond! If you want more info about this cute dog U can go to this website:

Only if you know for a fact that she will not abuse it. That she will love it, walk it, feed it, water it, prevent it from getting sunburned (yes, dogs get sunburn) and groom it. Vet bills can be astronomical.

This is a massive responsibility. By getting the puppy you are basically saying you think your child is capable of such huge responsibility.

Dogs are not toys. Dogs are not toys. Dogs are not toys.

Puppies are great for kids. But she should help out taking care of the puppy. They are not toys.

Depends on what you are looking for in a dog. A good friend of mine has one. They are a bit hyper and want lots of attention. They are very playful and affectionate. I would say yes if you will give it lots of attention and don't mind hyper.

It depends on how old she is and if she is going to take care of it. Otherwise you are going to be doing all the work. =)

of course! kids LOVE dogs....besides they are cute lol...she would really like it and would be all "WOW!". if she is a toddler, just watch it around her....when she grows up, teach her the responsibilities of having a dog..so go for it if you really want to do it!
