We have some cool things, like 1 high def tv, 3 DVR's, a laptop and 2 desktop computers, MOTO KRZR cell phones, 4 seperate phone lines, 5 cell phones, 6 ipods total (i hav 3) but we dont go on too many vacations and they OFTEN talk about how everything is so expensive and how they need more money. They also joke about how everything should be cheap and shirts should be 2 dollars. And whenever i want to buy sumthing, they say no and that it is too expensive and that we really need money. Are they kinda wealthy and just are obsessed w/ saving money and are amazed at the cost of living. I know for a fact that they (combined) make over 100K, maybe 105K, 110K. Are they wealthy? The town we live in is the 65th richest in our state and has a average household income of $51,677.

It sounds as if your parents are well off but they make stupid decisions when it comes to money. There's no way you should have 3 ipods . That right there is a waist. You could have gotten the video ipod and that would take care all three. Your parents make a decent amount of money but if your living outside of your means you could be just as poor as some living in a bad area. For instance if your parents make $75,000 and your house cost $200,000 and you have credit card bills and you can't forget about their car notes and utilities, oh and if you have children that can put a hole in anybody's pocket. I hope you get what I'm saying. Wealth is not determined by the materiel things that you have in your house or on your body. Its about maintaining the money you have and making more money off of that. Alot of times people think you have alot of money because of all of the material things that you posses and that's not true by a long shot. People like to appear as if they got money but if they pay for everything with a credit card and not cash that tells you right there that they're not financially secure.

Sounds like they are in debt trying to pay for the house, all the household expenses plus all the utility bills, car payments, car and house insurance, food, medical insurance plus any medical expenses, clothes, shoes, toiletry items, household cleaning items. I am a single person who makes $32,000 a year, and I help my mom and my daughter meet their expenses. And I am living okay, but I do not have a lot left over for vacations and a lot of extras either. Everyone thinks that having a lot of material things makes them happy. Well they don't. All it takes is for your parents to lose everything through no fault of their own and have to start over.It can happen with the loss of a job, and extra responsiblity as taking care of your grandparent/s, or one of your parents dying. It happened to me when my husband died unexpectedly. We had a successful business, new home, new cars and a truck, and everything we could want. In one day my life changed forever because we did not have enough life insurance.

you ought to easily stay prosperous, make investments, donate and don't be grasping. To whom plenty is given plenty is envisioned (Luke 12:40 8) i'm fairly specific there are traders that are close to on your loved ones, so merely inquire and save the advantages given on your loved ones going, do no longer permit the money make you, make the money and don't fall right into a life crammed with sin, merely in view which you and prosperous, provide as by way of God in any respect circumstances.

Many families keep financial status very confidential. I suspect your family has a few buck stashed away somewhere. But there is not much you can do about it. It is their prerogative. But someday at a will reading you may be shocked. Good Luck

Who effing cares. Get over yourself and start worrying about important things in life. Seriously, re-evaluate your views on life. Read some books about buddism, or just try to learn not to be so materialistic.

Why do you keep asking this question? I have friends who have lots of things but they aren't rich. They are just spoiled and they always beg their parents for something.
