I believe in soulmates. The world seems like a lonly place without hope and what better way to live than to have hope in the most content manner there is, in another fellow being, a soul mate.

I believe in soulmates, someone that you are destined to be with & you just know it when you meet. I'm not 100% sure about reincarnation but I believe it's a possibility. It would certainly explain the feeling of recognition when you meet a complete stranger & it feels like you've known them before.
When I met my boyfriend (we were both singer/songwriters performing at a local bar) it was love at first sight. It was kismet. Our eyes met & there was a magnetic attraction. He said he could tell when he looked in my eyes that I was a passionate person like him. He could see the being behind my eyes. I felt the same way. He's a Taurus like me, very sensitive, romantic, affectionate, loyal etc. So many things had to occur so that we could meet (my meeting a friend who introduced me to a new town where I wound up buying a house & performing at the bar where I met my boyfriend). It was fate. I took a step toward my dreams & things started to fall into place.
Have you ever seen the movie "What Dreams May Come?" it's a beautiful film about soulmates, love, loss, the afterlife & reincarnation. Maybe our souls do come back again in different bodies & then we have to find each other all over again...a very romantic idea!
I've been told that I have very "soulful" eyes. I have a lot of vivid dreams about places I've never been. Perhaps I have lived before in different bodies...After this life though I think I'd like a rest, so hopefully I can just chill out in Heaven!
:)

Nope, just because you are soul mates and may have been together before, this is a new life and you have to start all over again. You don't keep the knowledge that you gained before, but probably some instincts. It is up to you to find your soul mate, and even if you do there is no asssurance that the two of you will end up together. Life is always a chance.

I don't think "soul mates" exist !!!
I once did but they both divorced me proving that the idea of soul mates is just another myth.

I believe we are all soul mates, like it or not all attached to one long string and when one dies he/she leaves the string, but the string is never broken.
