It's the song that was in the movie Fast Times at Ridgemont High. They sing it during their prom. Anyways, my bf says the song was banned from the radio 'cause mooley (or however it's spelled!) is a racist term meaning the "n" word. Is that true? I thought moolie meant idiot.

I don't see any song similar to that in the film's song list but it could be "Woolie Bully" by Sam the Sham and the Pharoahs or "Louie, Louie" by several artists, the most popular version by the Kingsmen. Either has any racial overtones or undertones. And they certainly were never banned from the radio -- they were on the airwaves all of the time.

No. It was never banned. tyhere was talk that there were some lyrics regarding sexual content, but as the FBI stated "This song in incomprehensible at any speed or volume."

You mean Woolly Bully...........Its an older 60's song,I cant remember the artist
