It sounds different to everyone because your voice resonates in your head. Weirdness is probably a factor of how often you hear your voice recorded. Mine sure sounds odd to me.

Yes! It always has sounded very strange to me when I hear my own voice taped. It sounds totally different when I hear what I am saying while I am saying it. Good question. :)

I hate when I hear how I really sound,it is always different from what I imagine....course my imagination is pretty wild I always want to imagine I sound like some phone sex kitten,but alas it is not to be
