its slang for the girls hymen. when a virgin has sex , it gets ripped/'popped' when the mans penis penetrates it going in.

A girls "Cherry" is her hymen..(u know a slang term for the actual word)..so ne way whe a girl has sex for the first time the hymen tears and breaks which causes the girl to bleed..(thats when they say "i popped her cherry" or something similar to that)...
Even though a girls hymen can tear when she is younger or if she was in some type of accident..like maybe when horseback riding and falling too hard on the horsesback....but either way thats what they refer too when they say "cherry" or w/e

There is a common myth that a woman does not lose her hymen (cherry) until she has sex for the first time. A girls "cherry" is a slang word for her hymen. A hymen is at the entrances of a female's vagina. It is a thin fold of mucuous membrane. They used to determine whether or not a girl was virgin by checking to see if the hymen was there or not. If it wasn't she was thought not to be a virgin but actually that's BS because it can easily be "broken" by exercise or stretching.
