It's a pretty simple process. You'll need a jack, lug wrench, and a spare tire. All of which should be located in the trunk of your vehicle (check owners manual.) Make sure the car is in park, or in first gear, and the parking break is applied. Simply place the jack under a jacking point (owners manual will tell you) or any good solid surface under the car near the wheel that is being removed. Don't use the floor, find some sort of structural point, or a portion of the suspension, this will be holding a lot of weight.
If there is a hubcap, remove it now, this can be done with a tire iron also found in the trunk (big flat head screwdriver looking thing, sometimes on the other end of the lugwrench.) Then begin by breaking the lug nuts free before you begin jacking. Once all the nuts are a little loose, jack the car up so the wheel is off the ground. Unthread the lugnuts the rest of the way, remove the wheel, put on the spare, replace the lugnuts, and lower the car and remove the jack. Once lowered, give the lugnuts a last good tug to make sure they are tight.

Enjoy

These above suggestions are great. I would add that you should practice a tire change with an experienced helper or teacher. It's important your clear on the safe jack lift points before you start. A nice paved area is a nice place to learn. The jack equipment in your trunk is somewhat confusing for someone who has not done it in the past. The handiest lug nut removal tool for me is a half inch 19 millimeter deep well socket and a 1/2 inch extension"breaker" bar. If you try this tool once you'll toss the lug removal tool in the trunk. The angularity of these trunk supplied tools are awful. I wish you could see my sweet little aluminum floor jack. A lady could carry it with one hand, slide it under a car and lift your vehicle. As you can gather I like slick tools.

Look in your owner's manual. It will have instruction on how to change a tire. Get someone to help you so that you understand how to safely use the jack and other tools. It is an easy job but there is some safety issues if not done correctly.
