I'm working on a word document I'd rather not be seen just yet. Our home computers are networked. Can I put a password on just the one?

You would need some kind of program to do this for you (it isnt really possible in windows). There is one way to do it without any other programs:
1. Save the document(save normally)
2. Download WinRAR from http://www.win-rar.com/downloadnow.html
3. Install and open winRar
4. Click Add
5. Click Files and Append your saved file.
6. Click Advanced and click Set Password
7.Enter the password
8. Click OK
After you are done make sure the file is not still where you originally saved it, if it is though, back it up onto a flash drive or something and keep that in a safe place. I hope this is what you were looking for, otherwise you can probably find encryption and password protection software for free on CNets download.com
