If affirmative action is supposed to level the playing field, how will we know when the field is level? It seems that black people in this country have the same opportunities to make it as everyone else and, in some cases better because of AA, so who will stand up and say that when its time to take the training wheels off?

Affirmative action is just wrong. Everyone has the same opportunities- some just have to work harder for what they get. For instance if you were born POOR like me, and had to start working when you were 13, and have worked ever since, and have never had any kind of public assistance, and have carved out a pretty good life for yourself; even though your parents could not afford to send you to college or help you much. If affirmative action was to benefit those at a disadvantage, what about the working poor? Nobody helps us, we have to help ourselves.

Okay, if they have the same opportunities, here is your test: Read "Black Like Me", and go and do the same skin color changing process as he did. If you don't face discrimination, then you can stand up and make your claim.
