Back to the year 1000 A.D. did the people at that time had a large festival like what we had seven years ago in the year 2000?

No, there was great terror and conviction that the End of Times was at hand. In fact, the same process went on at the end of 1899 and people sold their goods and went out in camps to await.
The major negative concern of 2000 was the computer programs that people like me had written that only had two digits (87) for the year, since 2000 was so far away that the program would probably not still be running and, believe it or not, memory and disk storage were so expensive (he said looking at a Gig for $60 in memory and 160 Gig for twice that in a hard drive.)

uhh.......i highly doubt that!!
they probabaly had more important things on their mind, important to them, i mean, like designing proper toilets ;)

besides, they couldnt have had all the awesome fireworks nd all

lool thats funny, i dunno if they were even aware of the date or maybe it wasn't that important to them as to us nowadays, as u can see the date is a part of our daily life :)
maybe they did celebrate !! who knows??
