onshore. Warm air from the ocean has more volume, so it flows from warm to cold. Just like at dawn you will get breezes from the east. The sun warms up the air at the horizon, creating a breeze that flows east to west.

Offshore, because the cold air over the land is denser than the warm air over the sea and so dense moves towards less dense.
