I made several hundred stars for my daughter's wedding.
I took poster board and sprayed it with spray adhesive. Then I covered it with foil.
I tried the aluminum foil from Reynolds, I also tried foil wrapping paper. I think the Reynolds was the best bet.
After I covered one side and it dried, I turned it over and did the other side.
Then I took a star template and traced stars onto the foil. I tried to squeeze in as many as I could on one board.
Then I cut them out, punched a hole in one tip and strung fishing line into hole and tied it in a knot. The other end I tied to a paper clip.
When we got to the church hall, we opened the clip up on one side and stuck it into the ceiling tile. It was beautiful!

I usually cut out a star from cardboard and then cover it with the foil.
