I would like to know this , because its fine if you abruptly unplug AV cable from video player or TV . No thing bad happens !
But , this is computer , is it different ,
My monitor is plug and play type , does it help ?
I have 2 CPUs but only 1 Monitor , unfortunately , I could not afford another one . Once happened to try , but scared , so its wise to ask here first !

nothing bad will happen. just make sure that you don't yank it out of the back of the pc. i used to do that with my current pc and my old Windows 95. it doesn't damage it. just don't keep doing this for the next 5-10 yrs. then yeah, it won't be a good cable anymore.. the prongs #1-15 in the blue VGA connector will break off sooner or later...

It is fine to unplug it.The worst thing that has happened to me is with the computer on and it cam unplugged and my computer hang on me and had to restart it.I had the same thing once than got another monitor because it was to much like work.
