Brake shoes in left rear are bad, broke, grease coated, etc. Yeah, you need them fixed. Could be a rear seal and can easily be inspected for next to nothing... it's worth having it inspected so you know what is wrong.

have new brakes put on the rear lately?

sounds like your back brakes need adjustment or replaced, they are grabbing too hard, in turn locking up the tire (the squeal) and when the tire is locked, the suspension now will pull down due to the engines torque (the going down you feel in the rear)

Your brakes may have been damaged somehow. Take your car to a mechanic immediately and get it fixed before you have an accident.

Pad and possibly rotors are shot on the wheel or you're having a possible ABS problem depending on year and make of car.

Don't screw around; get it to a mechanic. It'll just get more expensive to fix and more dangerous as it wears on.
