and yes, the kid has studied and understands the history. Just curious to see what others would think.

Well, it shouldn't really matter what others think because its the boy's opinion and nobody elses. What kids think when they are 13 can be entirely different from an adult's perspective when coming to the result of the massacre that Hitler created.
There could be different views:
He might dislike his Jewish heritage- I seem to remember that there had been a rumor that Hitler, himself, was indeed Jewish.
The boy could like the position Hitler was in; being leader and controlling people.
Or it depends on the picture that the boy was looking at. It could have been of Hitler commanding or Hitler dying, there's really no right suggestion on why the boy said it but people need to respect the boy's right to say it.
Also, slang changes so many time that his meaning of "sweet" could mean something else. There's really now right statment to this situation.

im not sure. thats a really thought provoking question. What can any knowledgeable kid see in hitler that would cause him to think it was "sweet?' did he mean sweet as in cute or sweet as in cool or awesome? because if was a boy, many of them at certain ages think killing is cool.
