College Basketball Question... what if the Wisconsin-Ohio State game concludes after 6? (It starts @ 3 30) What happens to selection Sunday show at 6? Does it air immediately after the conclusion of the game or will it be broadcast on another channel. I am assuming the selection show would come after the game, but how could CBS possibly get it in and get graphics and such ready, with the game ending 2 minutes before the show? How can the selection committee possibly do this? Why don't they play the game @ 3?

Because the network does not want "dead time". They want the action of a game, right up to the minute before the selection show. Otherwise people change channels.
I agree with a previous answer - the end result of that game will not change the result of the selection commmitee - unless the favorite is getting completely blown out mid-way through the second half.
There are a number of times that an anticipated #1 seed, lost their last game - and still got the #1 seed.

Above answerers are correct, the end result will not affect their decision unless it is a blow out, which they will know by 6 if it starts at 3:30.

OSU likely would not be penalized for eventually losing to UW if that were to happen. The 2 teams would only get credit for what the commitee has decided up to the announcement. It's been this way for years.

They don't do it at 6:00 exactly. They will wait if the game is still going on.

I'm not sure but I think it's also being shown on ESPN at 6. Not sure though.
