I've learned the hard way to ALWAYS listen. You never know. Ten years from now, she'll say "Remember when I told you about..." and if you don't remember, you're in trouble.
Besides, I always give great gifts because I always listen. All you have to do is remember those childhood stories and gift giving becomes easier and easier.

We need to talk..... That puts the fear in most of us. Even me. But I also have a horrible short term memory, so sometimes when I am listening, You won't know it right off the bat. It takes a day or so for me to remember exactly what I heard.

Nothing, I would listen no matter what she said. And if I did stop listening for a minute I will ask her to repeat what she said.
