Simon is suspended for the rest of the season. His contract with the Islanders was for one year, so his suspension lasts the duration of his contract. He is also 35 years old. Will a team sign him?? Your thoughts...........

Good question! It depends on circumstances. Like Mcsorley, his suspenction may spell disaster to his career. His past disiplinary suspentions obviously will go against him in analisis of his present situation. Like it or not, the GOON days in hockey are gone. With local athorities following up on infractions on ice with criminal charges, this is no longer just an issue of heated moments between players. You better be able to play the game, without the brutality, or you have no place in the new game. Don't get me wrong, fights are part of the game, but a two handed swing at a guys head with your stick, is an outright motion to cause serious bodily harm. No one wants a guy to be killed or parilized by someone else's moment of no control. The leaque is put into a very difficult position, as to what is is enough, and what is to much. Cheap shots in any sport, diminesh the game. There is no place in sports for this kind of conduct!!!!!!!!!

inspect how Crosby became being hyped even as he became playing Junior; same with Tavares. perhaps i have were given it incorrect, yet i do not bear in mind there being an identical aspect of hype for Gretzky. I save in ideas examining somewhat about Kane over the summer season; his father and mom spent only below 1 / 4 of one million money getting him to the NHL with commute prices, kit, prices, etc. the game contained in the 80's became diverse than the game right this moment. right this moment's activity is rather darn reliable, besides the undeniable fact that it truly is no longer an identical. adult males are larger, more suitable, healthier, etc. The kit is amazingly diverse. Plus, you've this specialization right this moment that you probably did no longer have again then; adult males used to play baseball and/or lacrosse in the course of the summer season; further and extra it truly is 3 hundred and sixty 5 days of hockey.

He will, but not with the Islanders. He will be dealt or released at the start of next season

Yes. Are you kidding? If OJ wanted to mount a comeback right now, someone would sign him. (No, I am NOT comparing a high stick to the face to a double homicide, just making a point.)

If he still has the skills, someone will sign him. Just like other teams signed Todd Bertuzzi, Wil Cordero, Bill Romanowski, Ron Artest, etc.

If Bertuzzi did, Simon will.

he is an exceptional player, but he is a loose cannon.

Considering his age, and his actions, if his agent is good enough. He'll play next year.

He's a bully, so he will be wanted and definitely play again.
