i believe frogs are asexual so they reproduce by themselves.

Typically, as long as the female is laying eggs. I had a pair of toads where the female had already laid them, but for some reason the male grasped her again - and evidently was waiting for something to come out - she had none left, but he held on to her for over a week! She seemed pretty annoyed, having to drag him along everywhere and he didn't get much to eat that week.
