I just discovered my sister has been stripping for the past few years. SHOCKED. I typed in our last name in the search engine and I came across her biography. I assumed it was a resume for a job. I clicked it and it listed everything on how she started stripping to her her stage name & online website + interviews ect. Still in disbelief I thought its fake..someone who didnt like her posted this. I went back to the yahoo and typed in her stage name. Then up popped numerous results including her website which features only her, and tons of other stuff.I paced around my home what to do..We are both well in our twenties & she is the oldest. .I called my sister immediately and told her that I understand, but I have to do whatever I can to get her stop. She was very quiet and embarrassed but I found out still works there.Where we live is very expensive so it may financial but cant be the only reason. She's a very sensitive & emotional girl. What do I do?w/o pushing her away or to depression

In my opinion just talk to her and just ask why she feels she has to to do this one of three thongs sorry three things she may say 1.she has the body and the moves to make that money.2.she likes the attention and money.3 she doing it because she likes the fact that she dose not have to answer to anyone about where she gets her money because this is only business and it is to pay those bills and she is her own boss. but if all these don't add up then she needs to ask herself why and is she fine with what she is is doing i would hate to hear that someone put her up to it or she feels she can't doing anything better for herself and as for you be understanding and support her she is her own person.

As an exotic dancer myself, I know that it is yes a rather "demeaning" career choice, But for some of these women who dance it is more than the money, the guys, and the attention. Have you asked her exactly what she likes about this job? When you do let her just speak. don't criticize. This is the only why to truly understand why she is doing it. Find a common ground to agree upon. She may just have a passion for the art. (Yes it is an art).....
I have been dancing for three years and I have found that not all of the women that dance in this industry are corrupted. And no matter how rough it gets if she stays strong in her morals and has someone who is there for her, she will be one of the very few that are respected and taken care of by everyone in the industry. You can't change her mind but you can be there should she need it..

First, don't tell her what to do, it will push her away from you. Support her and be there for her but you don't have to condone her behavior. You can say, I don't agree with the choices you made but I love you and are here for you no matter what. That will not pressure her but will let her know how you feel gently. Then just be there for her, it will mean the world to her and if she is so embarassed she will eventually quit, just think, she can't do this 10 years from now, she'll be too old so she'll have to quit sometime.

femininity and make her hard before her time..Very unhealthy

Just talk to her, but realize that you don't have the ability to change her mind. You need to love her as she is. Is she's an exotic dancer, just be sure she plays it safe.
