So, there wz this guy who is my really good friend. I had a crush on him this year, and so did 2 other ppl. One of these girls is really controlling and mean. Anyway, she told him that I liked him, which really messed things up between us, and now he thinks i still like him, even though i got over him. And every time i ask if he wants to hang out he thinks i'm "asking him out", and he spends all his time w/ the mean girl. I just wanna be his friend again!!! Any advice-ness?

The short answer is find another friend.

To elaborate, the guy is not going to abandon the notion you're not out for him romantically if you keep inviting him to hang out. Thanks to the controlling girl friend, that idea is firmly implanted.

Drop him. If you run into him, be friendly, but distant and aloof. Once he realizes that you are not so easily available to him, he may even drop the controller and go after you. All of which should make you wonder whether such a guy is worth your energy. If it comes to that, decline his first invitation to go out in a friendly but aloof sort of way.

ok. i went through the same thing last year and i'll admit every once in awhile i wonder if he still thinks i like him, but the truth is i want things to go back to the way they were. i guess the only thing you can do is try your best to totally put aside the fact he might think that you still like him and start trying to prove that you just want to be friends.

P.S. stoppp worrying about what he thinks. if he really wants to be your friend he will except that all that is in the past.

Tell him straight up that you are not interested in him in that way but that you want to be friends with him because he's a great guy and lots of fun to be around. If then he still thinks you are interested in him then you probably should not pursue the friendship.

hello! that happened to me b4! its so easy all you is ignore him he'll get the point that you dont like him and dont stare at him that will mess things up.Dont accuse him for accusing u. In time you will get close again but not exactly as close u were before.it will take a while to get really close like before.

To me, I think that you should date some other guy to let him know that you don't like him any more. If you don't want to do this then I would act casual around him, don't to embarred because then he will think you DO like him. Spend time with him and don't flirt. I hope this helps!****

you should tell him face-to-face that you dont like him andif he thinks your fibbing then tell that you like someone else (if you do like someone else) and then tell him who you like, he wil probaly believe you then.
