I was coming home from work when I saw her standing there. “More misery,” I thought. I remembered having told her, “Anna, go to him.” What a mistake that was. Ever since then, I’ve been trapped in chains! Her “love chains” just like all the boys who meet her. Ask me why I couldn’t just walk away…it was no use. “Please, please me” was all I kept wanting to say to her. “Love me do!” So many letters and poems I had written her. “P.S. I love you” at the bottom. Calling her up telling her “baby, it’s you I love.” Just between us, do you want to know a secret? Her kisses? Like a taste of honey. In fact, there’s a place where we used to twist and shout all night. It felt like a hard day’s night the next day though. I should have known better. But if I fell so quickly for her, what else could I do? Other girls I’ve seen since then, I just let them know, “Hey, I’m happy just to dance with you.” But nothing more. And I love her, that’s for sure. Tell me why I just can’t buy me love! You know how much easier that would be? Any time at all, I could just buy a new girl. But, that’s not the case so I’ll cry instead. And I know the things we said today, I’ll think about all night when I get home. People always tell me, “You can’t do that! It’s not healthy!” But I know, tomorrow, I’ll be back and do it all again.
