If the engine is revving high at an idle, check to see if you have an intake manifold leak.
To check:
In a well ventilated area & not in a building -
Spray a LITTLE starting fluid around the intake manifold where it meets the cylinder head. If the engine changes RPM that indicates a probable leak.
Wear long sleave cotton tight fitting clothing.
Unless you are experienced in this proceedure DO NOT try it by yourself.

Try putting it in low gear & shift it out manually. After you check the fluid level of course.

You MUST drive in "D".
check the fluid level
transmission tune up.

what gear are you in ? it sounds like your either not in drive or your transmission is broke or need tranny fluid
