laptop s-video plug?

on laptop i have connected a s-video lead to my tv to view movies etc but i have no output from the laptop the movies play on the laptop with real or movie player do i need to change something to be able to see the pictures on the tv screen

yea there is a setting you need to change! in the display properties!
