Past tense of can
Used to indicate ability or permission in the past: I could run faster then. Only men could go to the club in those days.
Used with hypothetical or conditional force: If we could help, we would.
Used to indicate tentativeness or politeness: I could be wrong. Could you come over here?

would (wʊd)
Past tense of will
Used to express desire or intent: She said she would meet us at the corner.
Used to express a wish: Would that we had gone with you!
Used after a statement of desire, request, or advice: I wish you would stay.
Used to make a polite request: Would you go with me?
Used in the main clause of a conditional statement to express a possibility or likelihood: If I had enough money, I would buy a car. We would have gone to the beach, had the weather been good. See Usage Note at if.
Used to express presumption or expectation: That would be Steve at the door.
Used to indicate uncertainty: He would seem to be getting better.

Could to me indicates I choice you could do that or something else. And would indicates that is the correct course of action and should b followed.

This makes sense to me but its probably very confusion in black and white.

Could - means that something was an option to you in a past situation but not necessarily the option you would have chosen.

Would - means that you would have chosen one particular option in a past situation.

Could is possible.
Would is conditional, essentially it means could but with certain circumstances being in place. ie. I would go if I could afford it.

WOULD means it will definitely happen
