Although I own a house today. I do remember when I was a renter that the prices for cheap little apartments were really high. I could never find out why a 12 X 14 box would be worth over a thousand dollars a month.

Well, I really don't have all that good of a job, but my rent is way too high. I'm paying for the good neighborhood, the apartment in itself is not worth it.

Where I live, compared to when I was 18 and got my first apt. with a friend, things are way out of control. My 18 year old daughter cannot afford to do that now and she is making a good hourly wage. I am sorry...you may have to get a couple of roommates.
