This is the philosophy of Samurais. It's called Bushido.

It's a balance of life that includes peace and meditation with the chaos.

There cannot be one without the other: Yin and Yang.
It explains why there is war...in order to have peace.
It also explains why there are warriors in the world to fight for such a balance.

Sun Tzus "Art of War" also encorporates the first impressions of diplomacy and psychological warfare as counterparts.

"It puts emphasis on loyalty, self sacrifice, justice, sense of shame, refined manners, purity, modesty, frugality, martial spirit, honor and affection"
