IF you are not the owner of the work place
then you do not have the title to do it by yourself.

you need to talk to the work computer manager or IT person
he will guide you with details of hw you can connect it from home.

You would have to talk to the person who manages your network at your work place.

I think you can use routers to connect these two computers.
