Someone posted on a parenting forum I check into once in a while that they don't know who their baby's dad is but they're gonna tell their husband it's his.
I posted a reply calling them selfish among other things and now I've been suspended from the board for being mean.

I think it is asinine to get booted simply because you spoke your mind. Freedom of Speech is not alive and well on computer message boards and that includes here. I can't tell you how often I have gotten violations for insulting participants when all I did was disagree with their point of view. If they can't handle it, than they should not be posting. I'm sorry, Life isn't always full of sugar!

It's not always about substance but about presentation. Tact is a great virtue, my friend. Knowing what to say, when to say it and how to say it are important things to consider.
There is a huge difference between insulting and criticizing. You have to remember that it's hard to convey tone et. al. on-line so it's not always read as it's written. And people also don't know you to weigh what you've said against your personality.
Next time: be a bit more diplomatic.

People just want you to agree with them!They ask for opinions but they are really not wanting truth! They want you to make them feel good about the stupid decisions they have made!
So when you make them realize that they want revenge!It makes them feel better about them self, thinking they got you.But us that are honest about our selves know they are just hurting them self!

Thats is so dumb! If they can't tolerate people's other points of veiws they shouldn't even post questions, and you didn't do anything mean, you were just speaking from your own heart and mind, you should report them too. Thats just ridiculous! It reminds me about one time someone reported me because my answer disagreed with theirs!
But you are innocent, just remember that, you wer only spaeking from you own point of view... Have a good day!

you are my hero ive watched a few of those maury shows where the woman do that and when the men find out they are completely devasted id have to say thats one of my biggest fears that woman should be honest and i hope you stuck it to her!
